Jill Guindon-Nasir

Dr. Guindon-Nasir has over 20 years of experience in International Business, and has a passion for learning, transformation and sharing her knowledge with others. She is currently an adjunct faculty member for The University of Virginia, BIS program, where she teaches Organizational Change & Development, Organizational Behavior, Global Leadership, and Marketing courses. She is an Industry Scholar for the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (CIHF).

Dr. Guindon-Nasir spent over 16 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, holding various positions, such as Vice President of Global Business Development & Healthcare Advisory Services for The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center. She was responsible for the Leadership Center’s Business Development, Financial Requirements, Client Relations and Curriculum Development. She worked with over 100 certified speakers and a team of Consultants, domestically and internationally. Dr. Guindon-Nasir has worked with Fortune 500 companies, and numerous Healthcare Organizations to make significant improvements in processes directly contributing to employee, patient and physician engagement, culture and thus profitability.

Having researched the “Transferring of Service Excellence Best practices, from the hospitality industry to the healthcare industry”, allows her to offer an unusual breadth of experience. During her tenure with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C.; She had the pleasure of working with healthcare organizations, on their journey to service excellence. In her latest role, with The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, Dr. Guindon-Nasir had the amazing opportunity to represent the brand to Healthcare organizations looking to benchmark the hotel company’s World Class Service Culture. This was a brand-new role that she embarked on; in which she was charged with building, launching and leading, a brand-new business unit, for The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center.

Prior to joining the Leadership Center, Dr. Guindon-Nasir opened The Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C. and The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown. She worked with VIP Celebrities, Dignitaries, and CEO’s. She had constant contact with the press and media, as well as the international press. She oversaw four major world movie premiers and numerous, high end events. She was on the pre-opening team for both the D.C. and Georgetown hotels.

Dr. Guindon-Nasir attended Johnson and Wales University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Hospitality Sales and Meeting Management. She received her Masters of Business Administration from Marymount University and her Masters of Education from The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Guindon-Nasir received her Doctorate of Education degree from The University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School of Business– CLO Executive Program in Work-Based Learning Leadership.

Dr. Guindon-Nasir was recently nominated by Chancellor John Bowen, of Johnson & Wales University, and inducted into the 2016-2017 class of WACE Co-Op Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was established as a way to recognize and acknowledge outstanding cooperative & work-integrated education graduates.
