Alessandra Cappai has a Ph.D. in Urbanism from the School of Architecture of Barcelona, Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain, where she is also a member of the Institut Habitatge-Territori-Turisme. She completed her doctoral studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design as a visiting student. Her education and professional experience are transversal to the fields of engineering, architecture, and urbanism. She has been the principal investigator collaborating in several research projects in Spain and Italy focused on the relationship between architecture, urbanism, and tourism development.
As a CIHF Visiting Scholar, Alessandra is analyzing case studies and best practices in health hospitality, particularly in Italy and Spain, focused on health and wellness in association with natural surroundings and design strategies.
