Nikki Cerra joins the Institute with over 15 years of managerial experience, most recently from the Cornell Botanic Gardens as Horticulture Program Manager. She has a Master in Landscape Architecture and other past professional experiences include work as a planner, landscape designer, adjunct professor, teacher and scientist. Her interests lie in the human-nature connection and how we can create places that positively influence people’s well-being and interactions with their surroundings.
Nikki is currently a steering committee member for both Biophilia: Ithaca and Nature Rx@Cornell, both of which have missions to strengthen human connections to nature through engagement and advocacy for policies and practices that benefit the local natural environment and overall community health. Nikki is excited to be part of a collaborative, innovative institute while working to support our mission, partnerships and people.
