Anders Gustafsson

Anders Gustafsson is a professor of business administration in the Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden and he holds an adjunct position as a professor of Marketing at the Norwegian Business School. Dr. Gustafsson is an author of ten books including: Service Innovation (Business Expert Press 2016, Competing in a Service Economy: How to Create a Competitive Advantage through Service Development and Innovation”(Jossey-Bass, 2003), Improving Customer Satisfaction, Loyalty and Profit: An Integrated Measurement and Management System (Jossey-Bass, 2000), Conjoint Measurement – Methods and Applications (Springer, 2007 4th edition). In addition, Dr. Gustafsson has published over 150 academic articles, book chapters and industry reports. He has published articles in journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Product Innovation Management and Journal of Service Research. He is also the current Editor in Chief of Journal of Business Research.

Dr. Gustafsson is working on issues like; customer satisfaction and loyalty, new service development and innovation, service infusion in manufacturing, and management of customer relationships. Lately he has also started to study decision making and influence strategies in retail settings mostly using field experiments.

Dr. Gustafsson is an experienced lecturer teaches a variety of courses at different universities in Sweden and in different executive education programs nationally and internationally (Europe and Asia). He has also carried out a variety of national and international consulting projects for companies such as Ikea, Ericsson, Volvo, and Telia Sonera.
