Andy Chen

Andy Chen is an experienced executive whose career spans high-tech innovation, life sciences, and education. He began in semiconductors and wireless technologies in the US, Taiwan, and China, later transitioning to biotech and medtech, where he now serves as Vice Chairman of Tyson Bioresearch, Inc., a medical device manufacturer and healthcare-focused venture capital investment fund. In addition, he holds director positions in several medical diagnostic and biotech companies and serves on the Board of Trustees at Taipei Medical University.

Beyond healthcare, Andy is the Founder and Chairman of the Y2 Foundation for Future Education, dedicated to advancing Montessori education across all stages of life—from early childhood and kindergarten to adolescent boarding programs and elderly dementia care. This work includes collaborations with the Taiwan Ministry of Education, National Chengchi University, and Fu Jen Catholic University. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Ruo Shui Environmental Construction Co., a residential developer integrating natural environments into urban living.

Andy holds a Ph.D. degree in Finance and Economics from Columbia University, and M.Eng. degrees in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering and in Electrical Engineering, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Today, his focus combines advancing life science technologies, fostering progressive education, and promoting sustainable healthy urban development to create a more meaningful and human-centered future.
