Judy Kaufman is the Director of Patient Relationship Management at both Stanford Health Care and Stanford University’s Office of Medical Center Development.   Judy oversees the management and strategy for significant grateful patient relationships across Stanford Medicine. She manages the complexity of grateful patient relationships to ensure a personalized experience in service of extraordinarily high-quality and individualized medical care throughout their journey. 

Judy co-founded the Stanford Personalized Services (SPS) program at Stanford Health Care in 2001. SPS is a patient-focused program that delivers exceptional healthcare services to patients and their families by connecting patients Stanford’s worldwide network of renowned physicians and medical specialization practices. The program was the first of its kind in the industry, and Judy’s pioneering leadership has directly inspired numerous models in hospitals and medical facilities across the country. 

Judy is also an active member and Emeritus Chair of the Global Executive Services Council (GES), a group of 50 major academic medical centers that serves to drive knowledge and strategy across their network. Specifically, GES is responsible for defining best practices among major academic medical centers in the areas of international services, executive health/concierge, and medical hospitality for high-profile patients. 

Judy started her clinical career as a critical care nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital and after four years there, joined Stanford Health Care as a critical care nurse. She received her RN degree from Lasell College, a BS in anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MPH at San Jose State University.
