Mariana G. Figueiro, PhD, is the Mount Sinai Endowed Professor of Light and Health Research at the Department of Population Health Science and Policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Director of the Mount Sinai Light and Health Research Center. She is well known for her research on the effects of light on human health, sustainability, circadian photobiology, and lighting for older adults. Dr. Figueiro is the author of more than 150 scientific articles in her field of research.
