Hyunjeong “Spring” Han currently holds a position as a professor at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Management in Japan. Her recent research focuses on the creation of a local service support community aimed at preventing social isolation among elderly service workers, enhancing social participation, and improving their overall quality of life. Han’s extensive academic contributions include the publication of research papers in several esteemed journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Service Science, Tourism Management Perspectives, and CHR reports. Additionally, she has earned recognition for her work, receiving notable awards including the 2017 Industry Relevance award from Cornell University, the Best Paper award at the 2014 TOSOK International Tourism Conference, the Best Paper award for 2012 from Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, and the Educational Innovation Award from the National Research University HSE in 2014.
