Speaker List

Detailed Agenda

With the growing global mental health crisis, this event is dedicated to fostering insightful discussions, exploring innovative approaches, and understanding the evolving landscape of mental wellness in our community. We will bring together diverse perspectives exploring the future of design for mental health through the lens of programs, place, and tech. We will break down silos, charting a transdisciplinary path forward to cultivate meaningful change and provide a context for future design and research.

This year’s roundtable will take place on Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Statler Hotel, Ithaca NY.  We will begin with a welcome reception from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Regent Lounge in the Statler Hotel.  The following day, Friday, March 22, will include a full day of roundtable discussions concluding by 3:00 p.m. Each segment will be led by industry practitioners and research academics to help guide the discussion of what we envision the future to look like.  We hope that our participant mix of executives, educators, and students will stimulate engaging and valuable discussion.

Please register to attend at CIHF Roundtable Guest Registration by Monday, March 4.  Together, let’s envision and work towards a future where mental health is embraced and nurtured in every aspect of our lives. Thank you for your interest and commitment to this vital cause.

About Roundtable Programs

The Cornell Institute for Health Futures’ Roundtables, like other institutes in the School of Hotel Administration, provide an opportunity for a small number (approximately 25) of invited senior-level executives and educators, Cornell faculty members, and scholars affiliated with CIHF to share experiences and exchange ideas.  Selected students may also participate in the conversations.

Roundtable events are divided into several focused sessions.  Each session typically begins with a short presentation or guiding question offered by the moderator.  After initial remarks, the conversation is then open for lively discussion.  Given the relatively small number of attendees, all participants have ample opportunity to ask questions and express their views. Faculty fellows for CIHF and students often observe the roundtable discussions and interact with the invited attendees during session breaks.  Typically, a Proceedings is published after the Roundtable to share some of the ideas that were discussed during the sessions.
