Reimagining+ Workshop: The Mall for Health and Community

Cayuga Health Design Charrette

Cities across the country are turning underused malls into community assets by supplementing retail stores with health and human services that improve quality of life. This can include health centers, schools, workforce training, day care, elder care, pet care, affordable housing, thrift stores, food hubs, and space for community events, meetings, arts, and entertainment.

Cayuga Health sees the empty storefronts at The Shops at the Ithaca Mall as an exciting opportunity to improve quality of life by creating convenient access to services that support the health and well-being of local residents.

Please join us for the Reimagining+ Workshop The Mall for Health and Community! Cayuga Health, in collaboration with Cornell’s Institute for Healthy Futures, Brooks School for Public Policy, College of Human Ecology, and Nolan School of Hotel Administration invite you to engage in a fun and interactive planning process!
